Puppy problems

My puppy is 7 months old now and shes a westie. I keep her in our utility room when im out and at night and shes happy in there… She has nibbled the corners of the skirting board but not to much damage. As she is getting older I want her to start being able to be left with my other dog when I go out (free run of the house). I let her have the utility room and the kitchen for half an hour and she chewed the kitchen units :( ! How can I stop her chewing? When will she grow out of it? She is being spayed soon so will she calm down then? I want her to not be locked up at night and to be with my other dog as they love each other but when will this happen..?

She is just like a toddler. She is teething and it is to be expected. You will just have to work with her and make a routine for training. Have a “crate” (kennel) to act as a time out spot. If she does something wrong put her in time out. Just make sure that you are consistant with the routine.

awww we have all been thre with out dogs! To stop the chewing on the kitchen units, there is a spray many people spray ( its doggie safe) thats kinda bitter to them ..one taste of it and they are sure to not chew anymore . If that doesnt work you just have to buy LOTS of chew toys for him and give him as much time as possible.. there going through a phase its tought but guarentee it will faade..hope this helps
