Puppy Diet

What should I feed my 2 month old lab puppy?? Please help!

Answer #1

Because she’s going to be a big dog, she needs one of the large breed puppy foods, or a low protein adult food, starting at about 4 months…Here’s a list of foods that are graded by nutrition…I have fed Eagle Pac puppy food with a lot success…it’s holistic, and meat based…Also, if you have a Costco card, you’ll see that Kirkland’s Puppy food has a very HIGH score, yet a 40 lb bag still runs about $20…very economic…

U could buy your puppy some puppy dry food and get some cans of wet food and mix 1/2 a can of wet and a handful of dry and its enough for a few hrs. Dont feed your pup more than 2x a day. Always have fresh water in the morning and at night. Also, go to Petsmart or Petco and ask a retail rep to help you find some different kinds of puppy food and ask why one may be better than the other. Take your puppy w/u too and just walk around and check out all the foods etc…I have a jack russell pup whos actually 1 year and 5months old now and we take her to petsmart once a week for a walk. She loves it and meets other pups and we also check out the latest food and prices etc…The people in there get to know you and your dog and are quite helpful w/whatever you need. Its fun and just be consistent in the food you give to your puppy. Dont change it until the whole pack is done. There system will get use to this particular food so then they wont get sloppy poops or throw up you know…eeewww it happens though! Hope that helps!
