Do you have public holidays in your country during Easter?
In Australia, we have public holidays on Friday 22nd April, Monday 25th and Tuesday 26th….Wednesday 27th April is when everyone is back at work (unless of course you are a shift worker). Most of the large retailers also closed on these three days. Pretty good even if one is not religious, you still have these days off. How awesome is our country.
Yes, we have public holidays during easter. They are exactly the same as yours. I have taken leave for the Wednesday and Thursday…..I think….So I’m going to have a very long easter
In Germany, we have public holidays on Friday and Monday. And in my federal state (and most other states of Germany) there are school holidays 1 week before and 1 week after easter.
Wow…you guys are lucky! Here in Canada we only get Good Friday (April 22nd), and, I think some people (schools and maybe gov’t employees) get Easter Monday off. But for me…just April 22nd. Enjoy your super long weekends!!
We get the same thing here in Trinidad too.
The school kids have their school Easter breaks for two weeks and their holidays are smack bang in the middle of these Easter public holidays. I find it very interesting and educational to know what other countries get up too.
