don't understand why when I have my period?

I recently visited my GYN and told him that I have irregular periods. I told him that for the past 3 months, I’ve had my period. It’s very spotty. I won’t see anything for a few days and then it would spot all over again. Now, it’s been 2 straight weeks that my period has been heavy. He placed me on Provera 10mg 5 pills. I don’t understand why when I have my period?

I had it worse trust me. For 5 months straight I didnt stop bleeding and I was bleeding all the time and a lot a lot a lot. I had to go to the doctor and take tests and and blood work and I have low iron so I had very low energy loosing so much blood. and the funny thing is that in the beginning I got it for three months then not for like almost 7 months. I started getting it about 3 years ago and im still not regular. It happens to most girls but you can do something about it.

You can go on birth control because it regulates your periods. I almost did that but I didnt feel like taking a pill everyday. You can also get another perscription from your doctor that I dont remember but there are a lot of options. HOPE THIS HELPED!!!
