Previous engagement and job search
Hi there! I am currently searching for a job. My family and I booked an overseas trip for two weeks. I have recently landed an interview for a seasonal position. The concern I have is if I get hired, is this previous engagement going to get in the way of my being hired for a temporary position? Thanks for your help!
You are better off to ask the person who is interviewing you…Most companies hiring during the busy periods. eg: Christmas etc, wouldn’t be too happy for their temporary staff to go on holidays.
Having said that, if the job you are applying for requires specific skills in order to carry out the job and you do impress them during the interview, they may extend your commencement day.
If you are successful, be sure to get the job offer in writing, that way when you return the position is yours…Goodluck mate :)
