How can I prevent my baby's stuffed animals from getting dredlocks?

No I’m not taking them to the salon. Washing machines make them worse. If you tell me to brush them, they will keep their dreds :) Hoping there is a good sane way to prevent this.

Answer #1

put them in a pony tail before the dreads form? i havent tried it but its how people keep their hair from knotting up

Answer #2

You need to keep them away from moisture (which is hard with kids). You should never machine was a stuffed animal either - that can cause mold to grow in the stuffing.

Every week or so take the stuffed animals and wipe them down with a damp cloth…do not get them wet though just barely damp. Then you can apply baby powder to their fur to help soak up any moisture and prevent matting.

Answer #3

Even if you dry them in the machine?
