Is a preschool teacher a good career?

would u ever be one?

Answer #1

There are a lot of “good” careers, however, what may be a good career to one person… may not be a good career for another person.

If you like children, know how to properly handle and discipline them, have patience, and know what to do in case of an emergency with children… then that would be a great career for you. Also, it has to be something you are interested in, and actually want to do.

I personally would not like to be a preschool teacher. It’s just not something I am interested in, even though I love children.

It is a good career, although it is not necessarily one of the best paid. It is something that would be a rewarding career for someone with a passion for working with children and is obviously a lot more hands on and rewarding than something like an office job could be, even though there is more potential in that kind of career (an office/business one) for regular promotions and such like.

I would personally do the job (I want to work in a school with children around 5 and 6, but would work with younger if that job was available over one for children slightly older) and know several very happy preschool teachers, one of whom now manages the preschool herself. It is a job you need a real interest in and passion for though. It can be long hours if you have to do after hours prep for the next day, it can be tough having to deal with difficult children and there are many awkward or hard sides to the job- in the end though you are benefitting and helping mould children, so it is worth it if you have a keen interest as there are many amazing moments too.

If you are interested but unsure if it is for you, then many preschools do take on people for unpaid work experience, or volunteers to help out, so write to a few local ones and see if you can go in for a couple of weeks and see what it is really like. You should know after that whether it is a good career for you.

Yes in my opinion i think preschool teacher is a goood career. Especially for women it’s a great job because women knows better how to teach childreen well. There are many advantages and disadvantges you can find for preschool teaching career. Those are :

Advantages: You can work freely according to your wish with much freedom You will enjoy the job because it’s not much difficult. You can take care of your family members beside doing this job You can learn lots of new things by taching as well, same like we learn lots of things by answering questions.

  • You can build a good relationship with childreens. The job opportunity is very high and high educational background is not necessery for this job. You can earn extra money by tutoring . If you are a teacher than many young childreen would like to learn from you.

Some of the disadvantages :

  • it may not pay you high slaary
  • Sometimes you may need to take special care on some young childreen it may bore you.
  • If you have high education background definitely it’s not your job

You should choose a job which you like to do , not a job which pays good. So if you like teaching young childreen you should go for it. Best of luck :)

my mom is one :) its not the best paying job, and honestly there arent many hours… but she says its rewarding to work with kids that age (no drama and you actually get to see them learn/grow). also, if you plan on having children of your own who will go to public school, you get off the same days (even for holidays you dont celebrate!) and if there is a delayed opening/early dismissal your schedual and your kid’s work the same. i wouldnt be one, but i want to be a lawyer so i guess its just not for me… i know lots of teachers who love it (and some that dont) do what you want to do, its your life :)
