Pregnant or Paranoid?

Hi, okay I’m sixteen years old (don’t judge me) and got that depo-provera (or whatever it;s called) shot in early July so don’t have a period anyway. Well about three days ago my boyfriend (of almost 3 years) and I not only had sex for the first time but it was unprotected. He came a lil inside me in the beginning not counting precum. Now I am always tired, with a headache or nausea, and my breasts are kinda tender like they get before a period. Now am I pregnant or paranoid? And if it seems that way when should I take a test? And what test in most effective. Thankx in advanced

The purpose of the depo shot is to prevent pregnancy, so you should be able to have sex without a condom…however, no birth control method is 100% effective.

Keep in mind that if you just had sex 3 days ago, you wouldn’t be feeling any symptoms yet, so most likely what your experiencing is something else, but if you have any doubts at all you should see your doctor. It’s too soon for a test…you’d have to wait at a minimum 2 to 3 weeks after sex.

I would say wait a month OR 2-3 weeks because if you do the test rightaway, it might comeout the opposite of the right answer because of hormones

Answer #3

The shot can often cause symptoms similar to pregnancy for some months. Generally, 2-3, but sometimes during the entire time it’s in your system.
