Pregnant? Early miscarraige? Or just nuts?

The first day of my last period was on the 26th of March, since then me and my partner were having unprotected sex rather frequently. My next period was due for the 22nd of April, but on the 17th of April I started bleeding. My periods are usually like clockwork, I’m never early, never late. It’s not as heavy as usual, I usually use regular or super tampons, but am only bleeding enough for a liner here and there. I’m usually on for around 5 days, then get the dreaded brown-ness for another two days, so if this is my period, it’s awfully light, and has already started calming down and turning brown.. after only 24 hours. What could possibly be going on with my body? I’ve read stuff about early pregnancy bleeding, spotting, implantation bleeding etc but it’s just confused me even more. Can someone tell me what is going on with my body?

It could be any of the things you mentioned.

If you don’t get your next period, try a pregnancy test - a negative may rule out implantation bleeding, but not miscarriage. Many women never know when they have an early miscarriage.
