Pregnant?

I have been on birth control for one year and I havent missed any pills. Also when my boyfriend and I have sex we use protection and are very very careful. However, my period is really really light.. and its brown so I cant even tell if its a period.. Im really worried. I havent had any symptoms of pregnancy other than I think my stomach is bloated or fat… im normally skinny.. so can anyone help me?

If you’re as careful as you say, then the chances of you being pregnant are slim to none. I would say that the reason your period was so light, and the bloating, are due to your pill.

Talk to your doctor and ask for a test. If by the slim chance, you are pregnant, you don’t want to keep taking your pill. It can harm the baby and lead to birth defects.

WELL IT IS UNLIKEYLY BUT IT CAN HAPPEN I KNOW A FEW GIRLFRIENDS WHO GOT PREGNANT WHILE ON THE PILL. My SISTER IN LAW ACTAULLY WAS ON THE PILL WITH HER FIRST HUSBAND (BEFORE THEY WERE ACTUALLY MARRIED)AND THE CONDOM BUSTED SO JUST FOR EXTRA PROTECTION SHE WENT AND GOT THE MORNING AFTER PILL AND SHE WAS STILL PREGNANT AND I NOW HAVE MY GORGEOUS NEICE JADA KAE! YOU SHOULD BE FINE BUT WAIT ABOUT 2-3 WEEKS AND TAKE A TEST. I HIGHLY RECOMMEND THE DOLLAR STORE TEST WORKED BETTER THAN FIRSTRESONSE AND EPT FOR ME WITH BOTH OF MY PREGNANCIES AND YOU CAN BUY A TON AND TEST OVER AND OVER FOR YOUR SANITY WITHOUT HURTING YOUR WALLET! GOOD LUCK!

I don’t know thank you for the help..

Answer #4

I’m afraid you are 100% P!@# as in PARANOID… But not pregnant.

Your light period is a result of the pill use and the rest is a result of your age and, well, paranoia.

Relax.

Most of what comes out during your natural period is the thick lining of your uterus that was built up in preparation for a pregnancy. When the pregnancy doesn’t happen, this lining sheds and comes out. The birth control pill reduces the buildup of your uterine lining, thus resulting in the light periods. Sounds like this one is especially light, but unless you’re carrying the second coming of Jesus, I think you have nothing to worry about.

Answer #5

And now, on the lighter side of things. Sorry you had to have someone answer you in such a way– because we all know how often guys have to worry about pregnancy!! Anyway, sometimes the uterine line may leave a small amt behind some months and is released the next month, lots of time first and maybe the only thing released. This old blood is brown and that is what you’re seeing. With all the protection you use and having several tests that were (-) then more than likely you are not pregnant. But, keep in touch with your doc especially if the hardness around your navel gets worse or is accompanied by pain. {=
