Do you prefer online job applications or paper job applications?

I just filled a paper job application that i get at the hotel and when i went to left the application they told me that they dont take job applications that i need to apply online so i get mad and i tore up my paper application in front of them. I was kind of disapointed that they didnt take my paper aplication, because i got it there anyway and also these pointless questions in the aplication asking what position do you want ,well to be honest i would like to be the manager and win a lot of money, and anyway when you get the job they make you do things that are not anything related to the job that you wanted you have todo 2 or more things at the same time, and in this economy nobody has the luxury to say i want this job or want that job people just want to get a job period. Also the online thing its dissapointing and boring in these cases i like face to face contact give application and take application in person. Just to sit on my couch filling applications online its kind of boring what do you think? Tell me please thank you.

I perfer regualr job applications, because you never know if the manger(s) are going to check online applications. I have filled out at least 50 online applications and I haven’t even gotten one phone call, emial, etc. So I’ll stick with regualr applications.

Answer #2

regular job applications then you know that they will defiantly get to the employer

Answer #3

Paper applications because when I turn mine in I always make sure to hand it right to the manager, it makes you more memorable and you can even talk to the manager a little to give them an idea of who you are and your personality.

Depends on the type of job.

I work in computer technology business. Most companies in that field do not even accept paper applications anymore. At least not where I live. Some public employers who need tech personnel do accept paper. But

I like online apps better. They still check them, just like the paper apps. They still have you come in for an interview,so it’s not much different.

Answer #7

I prefer paper. You can hand it in along with your resume.

Answer #8

online application. as it is an easy way

Answer #9

I prefer paper applications because it also allows for you to meet with someone f2f when handing it over. Even if it’s not the person doing the hiring they can and do give feedback about how you looked, presented yourself, or any additional comments you may have made that could peek an interest. Online apps are annoying and dehumanize the hiring process…in my way of thinking. Online, they also request you send your resume and then want you to go through pages of asking the same thing, with systems that differ and sometimes lock up or time out. Also many business’s use filters so if you don’t use the right number of key words, have career gap dates, or any other filter they set, that they sort by, your application may never see a human reviewing it.

Answer #10

Paper because they have so many online applications I think paper would be alot easier to go through & on the internet it goes by ur last name so if ur last name inital is almost in the end of the alphabet it might take a while
