What are some preconceived notions exemplified by the mainstream media about boys as a collective whole?

Feel free to say if you agree with the notions or not and if you can, tell me why :)

Boys are heterosexual, not supposed to have emotions, they aren’t supposed to cry, they are supposed to be poor communicators, their issues are usually related to work/school (as compared to home/personal issues). There’s also like a bunch of categories they fall into, the jocks (play sports, aggressive, strong, loved by women), the joker (basically the class clown), the hero (think vin diesel, strong, aggressive, violent, saves the day), the lovable bungling dad (sitcoms use this a lot), strong and silent type (quiet, in control, successful), etc. No, I think they’re almost caricatures. Real people dont fit so neatly into boxes.
