Well the vaginal area is very sensitive. If you have never put anything in there bigger than a tampon, you will bruise or tear your hymen(cherry) or vaginal walls having sex, which will cause some bleeding. If you were not well lubricated or wet, then it will be easier to have some bleeding. There can be some pain or burning when having sex for the first time, so yes that is pretty normal, please protect yourself while having fun, though.

It isn’t just something that “pops” and goes away. A lot of people have misconceptions about the hymen.

The hymen is a layer of tissue the partly covers the entrance to the vagina. During the early stages of fetal development there is no opening into the vagina. The layer of tissue that conceals the vagina at this time usually divides incompletely prior to birth. The size and shape of this opening or openings varies greatly from one girl to the next. There are girls who do not have a hymen at birth, as the tissue divides completely while they are still in the womb.

The presence or absence of a hymen in no way indicates a girl’s virginal state. Virginity is a spiritual attribute not a physical one. In western (american) culture one usually remains a virgin until intercourse.

The hymen does not magically disappear when something is inserted into the vagina, it will only stretch or tear sufficiently to permit entry of whatever is being inserted. If for example, a teen lets her partner put two fingers into her vagina, her hymen may still tear when she has vaginal intercourse for the first time, since the average penis is larger than two fingers. A woman who has had vaginal intercourse may still have hymeneal tissue present; this remaining tissue can be the cause of pain during intercourse. If a woman’s current partner has a larger penis than her prior partners, or a couple tries a new technique or position during intercourse, her hymen may tear again, or for the first time. Remnants of the hymen are usually present until a woman delivers a baby vaginally.

Make sure his hands are cleaned and well groomed (no sharp nails!) so you don’t get an infection. You might bleed again and you might not. Chances are you will experience some pain, but again every women is different and her experiences will vary.

Answer #4

You lose your virginity through sexual intercourse, not through fingering.
