Yes, DO use 1 teaspoon salt to a 1/2 quart of WARM water, and a CLEAN cotton cloth…just hold on his eye…salt water is very soothing…and cleansing…And get him to the Vet ASAP

Answer #2

Try putting salty, hot water on it, but get him to the vet as soon as you can otherwise it’s at risk of getting infected which could lead to bigger, very very serious issues with bad consequences. Good luck !

Answer #3

Answer #4

Answer #5

this could be more the just a scratch on the eye from a cat. you need to get this Chihuahua to the vet as soon as possiable. Call a cab, neighbor, friend, relative anyone. Just go and go now.

Answer #6

No, you should put hot salty water on it, OBVIOUSLY not directly onto the eye - that’s just common sense and I’m sure you’re not that stupid. Wipe the area around the eye and the solution will get into the dogs eye - it WON’T sting, it’s not dangerous, it will clean the wound and help it heal.

I’ve done it to myself when I caught my eye on barbed wire, but obviously went to the hospital afterwards which is why you should take your chihuahua to the vet aswell ;) I’ve also had dogs and cats and other animals who’ve injured their eyes and if you call the emergancy phone-up vet they will ALWAYS tell you to clean it with hot salty water.

ps. I assume he was chasing the neighbors cats and the cat scratched his eye.
