iPod touch help

I jsut got an ipod touch…and when I try to open mi AIM applicaiton it brings me rite back to the home screen. I checked out some help websites and google too but it just says go to the itunes store and deauthorize then re- authorisze ure account…but I cant figure out how to do that…I need step by step help im relle bad wit electronics thnx<3

if you paid for the app call the itunes people but if you didnt delete it and download it agian or you can take it to the apple store
