What “S” is the city where the shalimar Garden is situated ?
Sorry yummeh, but the original Shalimar Gardens are in Srinagar, the capital of Jammu & Kashmir, in northwestern India. They were built by the Mughal emperor Janagir, for his wife, Nur Jahan. I’ve been there, but there was a war going on at the time.
There are also Shalimar Gardens in Lahore, Pakistan, andthere was a Shalimar Bagh (=garden) in New Delgi India, but the ones in Srinagar were the first of that name.
Actually the Shalimar Gardens are in Lahore (which does not start with “S’ :P). Maybe you’re confusing the locality with the person who had the gardens constructed…
Oh I see… The only ones I’ve heard of were in Pakistan, lol. I guess I lose :D!
