How does "the pill" work?

just out of pure curiousity; i was just wondering how it works, when you can take it and are there any side affects from taking it? pretty much just a whole overview of this drug?

Answer #1

It tricks your body into thinking it’s already pregnant by increasing hormone levels. Each type of pill has its own set of instructions, but basically, you take it once a day, at the same time every day. Side effects may include weight gain, nausea, headaches, delayed period, etc. … the whole list of side effects is included with the pill’s reading material.

Answer #2

It produces hormones that makes it hard for the egg to be fertilized and you can take it for 28days then have a 7day break from the pill which is when you have your period or you can have the pill that you carry on taking until you finish the pack instead of the 7day break the pills will contain no hormone changes.

its good if you have a heavy bloody flow because it makes your period lighter and lets you have a normal ovulation. Side affects are feeling ill, gaining weight, lack of want for sex and tender breasts. Research has shown it increases chance of breast cancer and blood clots.
