Why do people want to get their tongues pierced?

I had mine done since I was 14 im 19 now and theres nothing wrong with it didnt hurt getting it done(I did have it nummbed tho tehe) and swelled a couple days then it was ok I av had absolutly no trouble what so ever with it.

Uh, yeah I dunno where people are getting the idea that it affects your speech. Because that is 100% false. The only reason people wouldnt be able to talk right from it is because their tongue is swollen from getting the peircing. And that goes away. So yeah. I’ve wanted my tongue peirced for 5 years now, and since I’m going to be 18 in a few months, my sister is going to pay for a peircing for me. I’m doing it totally for myself, not for anyone else or their sexual pleasure I adore the way it looks. I’m all for tats and peircings n__n.

it don’t hurt at all just so ya know. it’s fun to play with and really cool, I have one. people get it for different reasons.

Hmm… I had my tongue pierced about a week ago… why? simply because… it wasn’t for guys, or to look cool. it was purely for myself, the piercing itself doesn’t hurt (it kinda feels weird though, to have a needle slide through your muscle) and mine barely swelled any and that is already gone. it did take a few tries to get used to eating (you have to put everything to the side of your mouth) but I can already go back to eating pretty much anything, (though stuff like lemonade and coke still burn the crap out of the piercing itself) but it doesn’t feel weird to talk (it might sound weird at first with the swelling a whatnot but that goes away)

well I think its very unique and I just got mine done like 5 days ago…it was hard to talk and hard to eat because I wanted to bite the ball…and its hard for me to drink outta a straw…and for eatting you have to put everything to the side of your mouth for the days that you are getting used to it…

I did it because I have always wanted my tongue pierced for several reasons first of all I like the rush of a new piercing, I love the way it looks and I also did it to increase my husbands sexual pleasure. Everyone has there own reasons and personal experiences. I chose a reputable piercer and am very happy with my new piercing. As for those of you who don’t like piercing I could care less what other people think. It is my personal decision just as it is your not to get pierced and I respect your choice so you should respect mine. If you don’t like it who cares it isn’t your body.

I just got mine done yesterday and it really hurts now its so swollen but the swelling will go down by tomorrow.

um personally I didnt get it done b/c of oral sex I just got it done b/c I already have had my nose and I have my belly button now. I’ve always wanted to get my tounge pierced. I think it just looks sick. it didnt hurt when I got it but it hurts now aha I can only eat jello and soup right now but by tomorrow or monday I should be fine to eat whatever : ))

I think if you really want to get it done to do it. it doesnt hurt and its a lot of fun to play with after its healed

I got my tongue peirced just cause i always wanted it…It hurt for like a week after i got it done. I couldn’t really eat anything or talk right for that week! But now i barley no that it is there!…I love having it though! It doesn’t really change the way that you talk either!…

it was originally a sexual thing, to stimulate your partner during oral sex, so when you see a girl with her tongue pierced…

It;s just wrong to perice your togue, just plain nasty.

hi my sister has her tongue piersed she sed it dosnt feel really different in your mouth but she had it done for her bf’s birthday as a presant because it feels better wen havin oral sex or summot

i got it because i like piercings. i didn’t do it for what zonemaster thinks the original reason was. which is entirely inaccurate. i dont flash off my tounge ring, i keep it to myself because i got it for myself. it sucked the first 3 days i think i cried for like hours because the actual piercing doesn’t hurt, its the swelling and everything else afterwards. they say you can eat mashed potatoes and stuff but i literally couldn’t eat anything. you cant eat spices, salt anything hot or cold. i think it just made me grumpy for like 3 days because i hadn’t eaten anything, and i could barely talk. and believe me i wanted to take it out so bad. but everyone was like don’t worry you’ll love it after

so except for the first 3 days. i recommend getting it to people who want it.

because its a really cool unique peircing…i love mine The swelling hurts but not the atual pericing, after a few days I was back to talking eating etc properly. its been peirced for 2 yrs now…its worth it… and as for comment above ‘people with tounge piercings cant ffreaking talk!’ i can talk very well. nothings changed. the only time u cant talk is when the tongue swells up but thats only like a few days after. its fine!

ok so i dont have my tounge peirced but i can say that ive got a lesbian friend and shes got it peirced…yea it may look cool but dude…it is kinda stupid…all the pain and infection…and i heard that ppl get it done for sexual pleasures…not for me tho…i dont need sexual pleasures b4 marriage…if ya ask me …i dont think ppl should get their tounge peirced…

i was bored one day and decided to pierce something. my mother would have killed me if i had done anything to my face ( ie nose, eyebrow, lip) so i went to the nearest tattoo parlor and did it up. it was not to enhance the pleasure for males it was simply for my own amusement. personally i dont think any thing tastes different nor is it difficult for me to talk. ive had it for 3 years now and its just as much a part of my body as my earlobes : P

ALL piercings get a liittle infected at one time or another. but tounge ones are pretty easy to take care of, and they look cool, and they heal pretty quickly

I have my eyebrow, my nose, three on my ears, + the industrial bar, a tattoo on the inside of my lip that says “CRAVE FEAR” but I am yet to get my tonguering. I’m getting it this week however, and am not the least bit nervous. :]

I love piercings… I haver a few… and honestly…it makes oral better…not the reason I did it tho… and to get oral with one..is amazing… the girls I’ve eatenm out all had orgasms…that much quicker…

I got it for myself..I liked the look..my boyfriend was mad at me for awhile cuz i got it but he got over it. I didnt get it for sexual pleasering either..I got it cuz I liked the style..People may think its nasty but thats there opinion and NO it doesnt hurt..the swelling is soar but i dont get when people say it hurts if they have never had it done!
