how do I take pic with my webcam?

please tell me step by step as i am not familiar with hp laptop

could you please help me how to take picture of myself with my webcam so I can display it on my desktop. I follow the instruction half way thru then i got stuck

if there is no program that does not allow you to take pictures on your laptop, then you can go to a website that allows you to take pictures of your self.. just google.. something like.. webcam picture, a site like picanom can help you take pictures

Go into “My Computer”…there should be an icon of a camera in there…if you click on it, it will open the webcam and the option to take a picture is a link in the upper left corner of the page.

I think you may try camersoft fake webcam which could let you select picture or video as your webcam. You may try it !
