My dear, we all suffer from insomnia at some part of our life. I know what you are going through bcz I go through tit every night & hv for years.

  1. I think it is anxiety at it’s best…you need to find what calms you down. If you have a body pillow try leaning on it while laying down.
  2. Might also be the heat, if the weather is still warm out. Try the A/c to cool off a bit.
  3. Not sure if you are allowed to have hot chocolate…but I make a mean hot chocolate which seems to help. I warm up a glass of milk in the microwave for 1-2 mins(dep on how hot your microwave is) then add a package of your fav swiss miss(i use the milk chocolate flav one) and all i do is mix well so it has that little foam but not too foamy. Kind of like when they make it in cafe’s. you can also try it if you have reg cocoa powder…just then u need to add some sugar…mix it slowly then add the warm milk to it as you keep stirring it in. you will still get the bit of foam on the top but a different taste. (all dep on how much cocoa powder you use…too much will make it bitter too little will make it tasteless…try a flat tea spoon with one teaspoon if sugar, if you like it sweeter then just add some more sug.)
  4. Another thing I do is get a good book. SOmetimes we get this book & keep saying i am gnna read it later bcz of the stuff I gotta do…well then that book sits there day in & day out…when I am restless is when I get that book & actually hv the peace & quiet to actually focus on the book.
  5. If I am still restless…I will flip channels on the tv till i get bored or fall asleep.
  6. try listening to something more relaxing…for instance I love r&b, so I will get a cd called “the best of Sade” just have it on low on my ipod…If that doesnt work…always have Nat king cole…”unforgettable” (that cd puts me to bed when i am rdy to give up.) Find what works for you…I used to have a cd for relaxing music like the sounds of the ocean or some instrumental music they use for relaxation.

Hope one of those work for you. Good Luck.

Answer #12

i play games with my cell then i wont even remember how but it’s morning :)

Answer #13

My doc told me to take Melatonin when I was pregnant for insomnia, its herbal and natural

Answer #14

Personally I am a chronic insomniac and to tell you the truth there is nothing that actually really works at least not for me because trust me when I say I have tried everything imaginable. I would say to go and see your doctor and tell him what is going on with you and he can give you something safe to take and see if that works and maybe your depressed and need a mild anti-depressant as well. Good Luck!

Answer #15

Reading works best for me. TV and surfing the web usually wakes me up.

Answer #16

I take a hot bath, pamper myself and get into bed and read a book, eventually it relaxes me so I can fall asleep. I’ve been struggling with insomnia the past few weeks due to bad stress.

Answer #17

I get out of bed and work on the computer for a while. I usually eat something as well. After about an hour I can go back to bed and fall asleep.
