Yes they can. Long term usage will destroy any sense of reality and make you totally paranoid.

Answer #4

Answer #8

You can get addicted to anything whether that be shopping, smoking, the internet, games, dr()gs, really anything under the sun can become addictive if you have the personality type.

Answer #9

theres a drug in weed like nicotine and is very addicting

Answer #10

oh yes! def weed can be addicting like i’ addicted to FA right now.

Answer #11

Clinically, it is not addictive, in that you do not go through severe withdrawal upon stopping like you do for most harder substances. It is far less addictive than alcohol and tobacco. But it can become habitual. As imlonely said, any behavior can become addictive. And if she is your age, she is way to young to be smoking pot like that. Her brain is not fully developed.

Answer #12

of course!

Answer #13

nicely put, my friend :D

Answer #14

yes they can

Answer #15

YES!! most DEF!! I know lots of people who are, and they say they can stop… but they can’t…

Answer #16

yeah they can,a person can get addicted to any drug & in my opinion doing that crap is stupid & down right dirty..sorry to weed smokers..but like it’s not cool…you can do much more with your money.

Answer #17

I’m going to point out, that clinically implies within the mental health field, and thus clinically, you can be diagnosed as being addicted to weed. Nevertheless, yes, you do not become physically as dependent as other dr.ugs.

Answer #18

Yes. It is a dr.ug. And like any dr.ug it can be addictive. However, here’s the thing. Unlike caffeine, which a lot of people are addicted to and probably don’t know it, weed is a mood and mind altering dr.ug. Which means you are not fully functional while on the dr.ug. When you overuse a dr.ug that messes with your ability to be fully functional, it is a problem. And anyone who NEEDS to smoke everyday has a problem.

Answer #19

No, i have to disagree with you all on that one. A person cannot get addicted to anything, unless they he/she chose to. It’s more like feeding their ago. But it’s certainly not addicting. Well if that girl is smokes weed almost evry single day, then she should quit smoking, while sh’s young.it’s easier now than later.

Answer #20

It doesn’t actually have anything addictive in it. Your brain may tell you you need it but you’re not actually “addicted” unless you put tobacco with it then you get addicted to the tobacco. It also depends on what kind of weed it is. >>> My mum told me this. She smoked pot for 15 years and stopped when she wanted to 3 years ago.

Answer #21

i barely talk to her anymore because she has changed so much.she use to be one of my best friends and now she went off and started doing so much crap.i hate that she is ruining her life :(

Answer #22

Answer #23

yes u can my brotheer did

Answer #24

Many substances cause a physical addiction. Our bodies adapt to having that substance and no longer work right without it. Opiates, stimulants, alcohol and nicotine are all physically addictive. Weed is said to be psychologically addictive. This is the same way we say people get addicted to sex or computer games.. I find it to be deceptive to refer to things like weed, sex, or behaviors as being addictive when they are not physically addictive. Yes it is a problem when people get in a rut and fritter their time away doing unproductive activities but this is entirely different from the downward spiral that physically addictive substances cause.
