peroxide and tattoos

I got a tattoo on my foot, and it is exactly 2 weeks old today well I was playing with my puppy, and she accidentally scratched it.. I dont know if anyone knows the feeling of when dirt gets in a cut, how it burns? but thats what it feels like, haha.

I was just wondering if its safe to put peroxide on my tattoo or just wash it with soap?

ummm, peroxcide kills not only germs and bacteria, but white blood cells which you need to heal. It will make the healing process so much longer. Still wanna dump peroxcide in an open wound, go for it…

christinversion- umm yeah I would put peroxide on an open wound. I thought thats what your supposed to do o.O

I didnt think peroxide would be safe to use, but was just asking.. I probably wouldnt use it, even if you guys said to haha.. im way too cautious when I have a new tattoo

NO PEROXIDE! Tattoos are like open wounds, would you dump peroxide on an open wound? I hope not! Soap and water will be alright!

You need a light soap and water - I wouldn’t use peroxide just in case.

Wash it with soap and water.
