will somebody please explain to me the effect on the hair during perming and neutralizing? and what are the bonds called that are broken down?? thanks xx

If you’re a student, I’m going to give you this fair full warning… you WILL have atleast a couple of perms go wrong…sometimes it doesn’t take much to fry their hair. When perming the hair you’re concerned about breaking and reforming the side bonds…this allows you to change the wave pattern. The disulfide bonds and polypetide bonds are broken as well. This is information you will never use aside on your state boards…just do NOT leave the solution on forever, and the nuetralizer NEEDS to stay on for 5 minutes…learn the 5-5-5 rule
