periods and regulating

I have had my period for 5 years and I have always had an irreaguler period (every 3 months) and all of a sudden I got my period a month after the last one. Does that mean that my period is regulating? And should I get it next month? Hass anyone gone through this?

Mine are sort of like that. I’ve had my period since I was about 13 and I’ll be 18 this year and I usually NEVER have one monthly. Mine are usually every 2 months, though I’ve had them every other month a lot too. I’ve even went 3 straight months before. I sometimes have them 2 months straight, then not for a month or so too. It sounds like they might be regulating or this could just be your “normal” cycle. No 2 girls are exactly alike when it comes to their periods. A LOT of girls have irregular periods so that’s certainly not anything to fear either. If it really concerns or worries you, talk with your doctor or gynaecologist about it. I believe birth control can sort of help regulate your period a little more so they might suggest that if it really bothers you not having one monthly or something.

Hopefully this helps you out, if you need anything else, let me know!
