No period in 3 months? Halp!
It’s been three months now since she last had it. We have regular sex and use protection all the time.. She has done several tests just to be sure and all say that she’s negative.. She hasn’t gained weight or anything. She went through a tough year last year and ended up all suicidal and it wasn’t fun. She overdosed a few times, could that have effected anything to do with her period? We’re both really confused and a little worried.. Has anyone experienced anything like this before or know why its happening?
Stress can cause you to miss your period, I don’t know if overdosing could but periods don’t seem terribly hard to miss for teenage girls sometimes. xD Maybe she just isn’t regular. She might want to go to the doctor to make sure she’s healthy and nothing is wrong that’s causing her to lose it but I doubt it’s anything to worry about. :)
How old is she? For some girls it takes up to their early 20’s to be completely regular. If she’s taken several tests then it seem unlikely she is pregnant, though not impossible. If she is really worried, she should go to the doctor get a blood test done, she could also inquire about why she’s been missing her periods if she finds out she is not pregnant because it can be a medical condition, though it seems more likely that it’s simply because she’s a teenager (I think?).
Thank you Lily! I’ll take the doctors ASAP c:
Reading this makes it seem a little less to worry about & thanks for your honesty! I’ll take her the doctors soon c.

I know a friend who missed her period for an entire year and then she became regular after that. It ran in her family. I suggest she goes to her gyno to make sure there isn’t anything seriously wrong with her. It could just be that she’s irregular.
Thank you c:
I don’t think you have to be worried . I’ve missed my period for like six months. She should just go to the doctor like everyone else is suggesting :) don’t worry. ^-^
if shes taking strong medicien then that can cause her to miss her period i would just tell her to keep taking tests.. or go to the doctor but it could be other reasons
