Why are people talking about the song "Friday" by Rebecca Black so much?

Because people are now bored of Justin seeing as he has a girlfriend, a man voice and is actually kind of attractive… so there is not much to tease him about.

It teaches kids the days of the week :-P I guess it’s just something new the media needs to laugh at. I don’t like being so judgemental, but that song is truly horrible. Perhaps she may have had more fans than haters if she composed some decent songs. Her vocals aren’t very good and her voice I believe isn’t something people would like to listen to as Justin Bieber. I personally don’t like both, but I think Biebers capable of more. However she’s done good for herself. Singing is her passion even though not many people think of singing as the right thing for her.

Because she’s kinda baadd… But :P I can’t sing either so, why judge? I think people have gone WAY overboard with her. No, she’s not that great of a singer but, she could get better.. But I’ll bet in a few weeks no one will even remember her.

Okay, so we all watch it and the parody’s and dubs of the video in my vid-med class ALL THE TIME. It’s because it’s funny. I feel bad for her…but it’s a ridiculous song and it kinda made me go, “Is this for real?” The first time I watched it.

It’s catchy, easy to goof on, bad yet good, well done but its still not great. I dunno. It has quite a bit of views on the ol YouTube, so I think people like to hate it. Personally I don’t think its that bad, the video was put together exteremely well. Perhaps the real reason everyone is talking about her and that video so much is because they deep down admire the confidence that she has to sing and put together such a video.
