How to get people to start using your Square device to buy your products?

I have Square device and is building a library of products to sell. But once your account and library is setup and ready, how do you go about getting people to notice your products you’re trying to sell and getting them to use your device? I don’t have a website and I’m not able to pay money to advertise either or promote. So does anybody have any suggestions or advice? Thanks! :)

You’ve done 10% of the work.. which is more than what anyone else normally does. Congratulations!!!

Now it’s time to focus on the other 90%.

Because you are selling the items locally, think about who would purchase them.

It’s hard to tell people and have them stay attentive, so fire up your computer and make a little paper catalog!!

Try to put one product on each page. Use a nice big photo that takes up like half the page, and a GREAT description of the product – talk about how it will impact the person’s life, not just how great the product is.

Now that you have that catalog (Again, keep it simple, a few pages with your products), you can hand it out, or walk with it and show the people you talk to. Then when they want to buy, you bring the product to them and whip out your square device.

Basically the order in which you want to do things is:

  1. Figure out your products and why it’s great
  2. Determine your market – who/why/where will buy it?
  3. Find a way to display it… (catalog or website)
  4. Finally when you have #1, #2 and #3 perfect, you can worry about Square and receiving payment

Don’t put the cart before the horse!!!
