Why do people always hate the 'Pretty' or 'Popular' girl?

Well most of the time they could just be jealous but sometimes the really popular pretty girls aren’t all that nice themselves and they think they’re all hot sh!t so there’s your answer.

First off you dont have that much power, thats just asking for snarky remarks haha. But people usually dislike the popular people cause in general those popular people ate there way up the food chain smashing down innocents on the way to the top.

Well you never know who is who until you get to know them, just because they are pretty doesnt mean that they are mean. People should get to know others before they judge. Pretty/Popular girls are always stereotyped as mean, but that doesnt mean that they are! But then again, I know alot of them that are haha

Oh, I have more power than you know. But that’s just the thing! I am pretty and popular but I’VE NEVER EVER EVER been mean to anybody! The meanest thing I did was tell this guy to shut up because he called me a ho!

You dont have the power to do that, a moderator isnt just gonna remove someone cuz you got your feelings hurt. jealousy is the answer, they waste time being jealous of someone prettier then them so they become obsessive which is where rumours start going out towards the popular girls.

So ironic. “Oh, I have more power than you know…I am pretty and popular but I’ve never been mean to anybody.” People that are considered attractive often figure this out at some point, and begin to take it for granted. Take you, for example. You even call yourself pretty and popular, grounds for others to dislike you. And then you threaten them with power that you may not even have, and when someone points it out, out comes the condescending personality. Your experience of hatred from others doesn’t mean that people “always” hate the pretty and popular kids.

Usually because they are just jealous, or because some of the “popular” or “prettier” girls think they are better than everyone else, and have a snobby attitude.

Also, I just read the rest of your question. You can’t just tell an admin that someone got an attitude on one of your posts, and then expect the admin to disable their account. First off, the admin don’t like whiners…and they won’t just disabled someone because you want them to. If they haven’t done anything that violates the ToU, they are not going to get disabled.

No it’s not that they are rude. Omg, I am NOT a whiner I just don’t tolerate meaness. One time I asked a question and some one called me a stupid ho - so….

Not all people hate them. They are popular for a reason. Some of the time they might be hated just because they are mean and stuff like that, they don’t treat people the best way and what not. But not all popular girls are like that, sometimes they are popular because they arre nice and just a piece of candy. In my school, the ‘ popular girl’ is popular because she gets good grades, does all sports and she is very friendly, so people do like her. I just think that it depends on who this “popular” girl is and what she does.

When that happens, you notify an admin and the member will be dealt with…it goes both ways here - we don’t allow users to abuse each other, but there’s a line drawn when it comes to people being “snarky”…offering a rude answer is not exactly abuse, and people are allowed to voice their opinions, so long as it doesn’t turn into abuse. (calling you a stupid ho would be considered abusive - report it)

People aren’t usually insecure. They think the pretty and/or popular girl is full of herself and not really liked. Look at the movie Mean Girls. The most popular girl in that school is secretly hated by almost all her friends and everyone else. The pretty and/or the popular girl is unrealistic and so distant from most people they don’t understand. They don’t even realize how mean they are being.

I think it’s less to do with the pretty or popular part, and more to the narcissistic belief that one deserves everything and one can make people do what they want with the snap of their fingers. I find popular people who aren’t full of themselves don’t generally have this issue.
