Why do people prefer working in the city?

dont small towns in provinces have hospitals and schools? im askin cuz I live in the city but Im just wondering u know.hehe

well small towns dont always have hospitals, just doctors really.

Funny story - when we lived in the city, it took longer for my husband to get to work than it does now - 30 minutes away from civilization. With all the stops and traffic, I can’t honestly agree that it’s a faster commute, but it does offer the convenience of having everything you need at a close distance.

Also this. People prefer to be with people. Man is a gregarious social being. Being a country being is not as social as a city being. Look at a farmer. He’s not with others most of the day, let alone the rest of the day when he isn’t working. He communicates less and interact less with his fellow man. Therefore he is more introverted. City man is more extroverted, out going.

One could say this. A city man is less secure, so has to be with others. The country man is secure within himself, so doesn’t need to be with others as much. One can go on with many reasons why pros or cons, but it boils down to this man is a social gregarious being and has always been.

You get paid more in a larger city than you do working / living in the country. If you need a new job, it’s easier to find one in a similar industry in a larger city than in the country.

Yes, the cost of living is also higher, but there are (along with the salary) usually more “citified” activities, such as mini golf, bowling, ice skating, more museums, children’s activites, etc.

Of course, you have “country” activities that then you have to drive a great distance to get to….but, well, I like the suburbs myself ;) Best of both worlds.

there are alot of jobs that people want in the city. maybe an office job,or many others that are a pretty good options.

Easy transportation and and close work also a lot of people to meet and see.
