Are people overage not allowed to talk to people underage?

They can but why would u wanna talk to someone 10 yrs younger??? my friends are usually around my age

Talking is allowed…but it usually leads to wanting something more like holding hands or a kiss or a date which is why it is just best to keep it as platonic friends…joke around, give advice & share music or mutual interests…but that is as far as it can go…better for all parties!

bcz some people are just attracted to older or younger people…just the facts of life…no one means to…but smx it happens. The mature one in that case is supposed to be the responsible one & say hey…i understand but no can do…its just the way it has to be…friends…or nothing at all!

Maybe cuz theyre freaks??? lol it depends if a 40yr old man talks to you about common interests like tempress said, I think its fine BUT if he shifts the conversation to a sexual tone then it would look weird

thnx thefirestarter, absolutely agree with you…if it is a 40 year old gets frisky or starts talking dirty to a 17 year old asking her out on a date like for coffee & stuff…sorry that is a no no in my book & he would be considered a perv…17 year olds, are still considered a minor in most states…so even though a 17 year old might want to hv a 22-23 year old bf…even though it may seem ok, that 17 year old’s parents will hv a field day with that in court! Best thing is to wait til the 17 year old is over 18 in some states & 21 in others…rather be safe then sorry! Plenty of fish in the sea…catch another! :P

Just as long as it doesn’t get all sexual or rapey. One of my teachers added a girl from my class on facebook and after talking for a while he started to send her.. explicit messages which got out of hand. He got arrested :/ this probably wasn’t a great example as all of their out-of-school-hours contact was inappropriate. But it’s a hilarious story and semi-relevant so a perfect time to share it! In actual answer to your question, of course they can talk - you talk to teachers, shop keepers, family friends don’t you? Just anything sexual is inappropriate. The laws around this in Britain are that a person becomes legal at age 16, but if they do it with someone over 18 then that person can be still convicted as in the eyes of the law it is r(a)pe ‘cause of the age gap :/ but once you’re past 18 it’s whatever floats your boat really. ;]

the other day I heard on the news that a female teacher was having sex with an underage kid… but she didnt get arrested which is kinda weird, why does the opposite look “ok”??? when a guy teacher gets busted, he gets jailtime etc… anyway, my oceanography teacher is like that, he handed out his FB page link and his cell # for us to “call him” whenever we have problems as opposed to just email the guy… bizarre X_x

some crave atten…I would nev gv out my number if I was a teacher…if the problem is that serious they could email me…but you know what back in the day…we had no comps…no emails or cell numbers & hell if a teacher gv us their home number…so teachers need to get back a little into that less is more in this case.
