Why can't we see people on Google Earth?

You can zoom right in on a street or a house, but never see a person.

Answer #1

Because I think that would be an invasion of privacy.

Answer #2

Good point, but on the other hand so is looking at my backyard from outer space.

Answer #3

I know but I’d rather people be able to look at my house, they don’t know it’s actually me who lives there.

Answer #4

I’ve seen people… but they always have their faces blurred out.

Answer #5

I’ve seen myself on it haha riding my bike home.

Answer #6

You’re right.

Answer #7

Seriously?

Answer #8

Really? I’m gonna have to log on again cause I’ve never seen a single person.

Answer #9

Really, when I get a chance to get on the computer I’ll screen cap it ahaha

Answer #10

It’s not ‘real-time’ and the purpose is to show earth/landmarks….if there originally, they were electronically removed…..

Answer #11

Makes sense. I knew it wasn’t real time, wish it where. The picture of my property is about 10 years old before I made all the improvements and it looks much nicer now.

Answer #12

There are people but blurred faces….The beach shots are still worth a look ;)

Answer #13

I am sure the government can use things similar to Google earth and maybe Google earth it self to see people however we can not because that would not be constitutional and there for we get a version that is not real time based. There are a lot of safety reason that go into it as well.

Answer #14

Ummyou can there’s still a picture of my mom smokeing a cigarette on our porch while my brothers are playing with our dogs

Answer #15

Answer #16

Good point. I have no doubt “the man” has much better technology than that, and if he wants to see us, I’m sure he can.

Answer #17

I can see myself in my pool!!! Along with a shark blow up, some inner tubes and a dog
