Why do people with freckles often 'hate' them?

I actually like my freckles ….I was always told that they were angel kisses :)

i like mine, they dont bother me, but honestly, i sometimes forget that i have them until someone says “aww” about them lol, but i think they are cute on everyone :)

I didn’t start to dislike mine until I heard people say they were bad.. now I notice them and don’t like them.

well i had them all over when i was little…and i couldn’t stand them because ppl used to tease me about them. The freckles never bothered me…it was the response i got from ppl that upset me.

I have them all over my face, i don’t like them that much because i was teased when i was younger, but for people like myself who don’t like to be noticed, freckles kinda stand out and people comment on them.

I used to hate my freckles. I did see them as flaws… Like scars. i think its also part of society always making Gingers sound so bad. I am part ginger. So as I was growing up I never really knew anyone else with them until i got older. And then the guy I am with and have been with told me he thinks they are cute and he compliments them all the time, so it makes me happy.

I don’t like my freckles because when I look at like models or people I find that are absolutely gorgeous, they don’t have freckles. I like freckles on other people, just not me. On my face I look at them as like, I dunno, little specs of discolored skin & I just don’t like it. Dx I know what I look like without freckles, due to makeup, & I like how I look without them better then I do with them. Though, if I were to lose them outta the blue one day, I’d miss them. :p

well i am one with freckles and one who does hate them and feel weird when peeps say ‘naw i think their cute’ the reason we may hate them is a) we feel uncomfortable and ugly b) jealous that we can’t tan (but some are luky who both tan n freckle) c) we/ well i feel the reason im not pretty enough to go out with this guy or my freckles stand out when i wear this dress

yes their odd reasons but its mainly the insecurity we feel with them
