Why do people at my church either tell me to cut my hair or pick on me because of it?

its people like in their 30’s 40’s or older,some older people tell me my hair is fine and they love the way it looks

they’re just jellies they cant grow long luscious locks liek you!

Definitely not! Do not cut your hair to make other people happy, only do it for yourself. Maybe you should find a different church to go to, one that will accept you for who you are.

Do not try to please them in any way. It’s not your job to conform to other peoples standards.

You could… Get gel/ pomade and shape it into spikes next time before you meet these folks. Or color it green/purple. Tell them you’re in a self-discovery phase and you are doing experimental style in order to adapt to your spiritual imbalance. That will make you a “completely hopeless case” to them and they’ll be happy when you return to your usual style.

Or you could… tell them that you want the girls to scream and faint out of excitement when they see you and everyone knows girls love just that style. Say to their faces that they just envy you for your great hairstyle and your full, manly hair-growth. Admitted… bad advise, trouble will follow…

Or you could… tell them that you saw a picture of Jesus where he had shoulder-long hair and a full beard. And that you chose this as a guiding example and you want to let your hair grow.

Or you could… tell them you had a dream about the holy Spirit telling you to not cut your hair until next year.

Or you could … go to a different church. Where people are more tolerant.

I like the hair, dont change who you are because someone tells you too! Change how you look because YOU want too! If you don’t want to rock your style and be proud. It’s all about the confidence! In the end it doesnt matter what they think it’s between you and God :)
