Can people under the age of 18 can take weight loss pills?

Answer #1

Depending where you are and the pills . Usually you would need a doctor or parent consent . If you were really overweight I’m sure they’d let you get some but you aren’t , so you may not be able to . You’d also to read the label to see if it’s safe to take if youre under 18 and would have to talk to a doctor .

Answer #2

It’s not recommended. And not you’re not exactly building healthy habit s for your future by doing so. Get off your Ass and exercise. Learn how to cook healthy meals. That’ll get you a lot farther in life than some pill.

Answer #3

I aggree. There are very few pills / medications that I trust. The side effects of most are ridiculous, and if we just treated our bodies better, we wouldn’t need most of them.

Answer #4

having a healthy lifestyle by staying active and eating healthy is a much better idea then having to take diet pills. I never fully trust pills of any sort unless they are truly prescribed and deemed on by my family doctor. Diet pills, supplement/vitamin pills, pain killers…. they all have side effects that can damage your body in the future. Consult with your doctor if you’re concerned with your weight and see what the best solution is for you!

what are the side affects?

Answer #7

Diet pills don’t work. Not without side effects.

Easy, fast weight loss pills just dehydrate you, make your body lose water and thus weigh less. They are just unhealthy. You want to lose fat, not water.

Then there are pills that inhibit your fat digestion, making the fat you eat rush your system undigested. You gt diarrhea from that and cases of intestine cancer have been reported.

The third variant is appetite suppressant. These are psycho-pills working in your brain. Possible side effects are unhappiness, general listlessness and in severe cases even depression.

Better ways to lose weight: Eat healthily, remove coke and sweets from your diet, drink water and eat carrots and apples instead. Learn to cook healthy food. Do sports.

Answer #8

Depends on what pills you take. There are several different weight loss pills. BTW… if you still look like you do on your profile picture, you don’t need to loose weight. You look good.

Answer #9

wtf would i have pics up here that didn’t even look like me in real life ?lol

Answer #10

Diet pills do work, if you understand how they work. The active ingredients in these pills is either Ephedrine, a high-energy caffeine or 1-3-7-Trimethylzanthine, a high-energy caffeine with less side effects than the standard Ephedrine. Caffeine, is a diuretic, causing you to dehydrate by going to the bathroom a lot. That’s a great thing, if you’re trying to look vascular before you’re going on stage in bodybuilding, but not so great for someone trying to lose weight.

To lose weight efficiently, you would need to have a solid diet for fat loss where the calories you’re eating are less than you’re burning, and that’s usually maintaining 300-500 below maintenance level for your weight. You can take the pills, but it is not recommended because a person under 18 naturally has a high sensitivity to caffeine, and these pills usually contain 200-400mg of caffeine, which is about 3-5 cups of coffee.
