Why do some peole run away from their problems instead of trying to confront them?

Answer #1

Can be several reasons, for example some people have the confidence to confront them, or feel they can’t do it on their own, but don’t want to ask others to help them. There could be a fear that confronting issues will make them worse. Anxiety takes over, and it comes to point where people try to ignore a problem in the hope it will just go away. Some people don’t have it in them to tackle problems or seek help in doing so.

Answer #2

Some problems just can’t be confronted. Emma stated all the reasons. Sometimes the best thing to do is run away and never look back. Start fresh, and move on.

Answer #3

Often it’s the easier way, to runaway rather than facing it. What happens when you run headlong into your problems? You have to deal with them, you have to try to fix things or to let them go badly or the way you don’t want them to. That leads to a whole world of hurt, sadness, fear, anger, complications, etc. Running away is easier, you don’t have to deal with the problem, you don’t have to try to solve it or face its consequences. You simply, avoid it. However, no matter how much you run from something, you can never truly run away from it. It will eventually catch up to you. It will be in your mind and haunt you and in the end, after a long time of suppressing it, it will be all the much more harder to face.

Answer #4

Most of the time it’s because they are scared or it just seems easier at the time, but in the end you should ALWAYS try to work out your problems whether you get a mediator or you just work it out yourself, conversation is the key.

Answer #5

because when something hurts too much/is too hard to face, its easiest to just turn away. Everybody responds differently to different situations. If something happens to someone that you think may not be a big deal, it may be a huge deal to them. Judging them for running away wont help because you dont know exactly why they ran away in the first place (im not calling you the judger, this is theoretical). For some people its harder to face things than others. It really all depends on who you are and what you have been through.
