Is "Pentax" a good brand for cameras?

To be honest…nev heard of the pentax… On the other hand I did actually have a canon & it last me a long time…still works amazing after all of these years but I needed a digital cam for work so I got an Olympus….It is an amazing cam! Too bad my brother took it. I would def go with it though…good price…good value..slim…and is like a video cam too! The olympus stylus -7020 you can look it up. Hope it helps.

I had a camera that was of the brand Pentax, and it was really good quality, I was pleasantly surprised by this as I had never heard of the brand before in my lifetime. It was long wearing, this was very important to me as I tend to be accident prone and fall all the time…and the batteries usually pop out of the camera and roll on the floor and I then lose the batteries. But with Pentax cameras I bought this is not a problem any more! Thank goodness! I have bought the Optio RZ10. Which camera were you interested in buying?

Pentax is a long established brand of cameras. In the film era their K1000 SLR was the first “real” camera for photographers from the 1970’s into the 1990’s. The titans of the film era Nikon, Canon, Leica and Pentax now all make great digital cameras. Naturally there are a few models in each line that are duds so do research reviews and opinions about the particular model you are interested in.

Agreed. Pentax is a good brand. I would put Nikon and Canon has the two highest, but Pentax takes good photographs.

My first camera was a Pentax film camera. It worked great and the lenses they have are key to good photographs. I have probably owned 3 Pentax cameras. I know shoot with Nikon.
