the best approach is to pay someone a compliment about their attire. e.g. say somethin like ‘nice watch, where did you get it?’ or ‘ I like your t-shirt, its class!’ then let the conversation be born. the main thing is that you have broken the ice and chances are that the person is probably dying to talk to you too. it sounds naf but it works! or you could always have a couple of beers first and get the good old dutch courage. after a few of them down your neck you’ll talk the hind legs off a donkey. well, me anyway. probably best sticking to plan A though. good luck

Consider the following:

  1. Meeting people happens when two people that don’t know each other connect.
  2. You will not like everyone you meet.
  3. You will not be able to define yourself without knowing others.

Being shy sucks. When we are born, we have only two fears: light, and loud sounds. All other fear is learned. Fear can easily be unlearned. Fear of what happens after you open your mouth to say hi is a very small fear, easily overcome.

Give it a try.

Answer #3

The typical is something like “hey, how ‘ya doin’?”…”what do you think of the party?”
