Can your parents force you to do something?

Can you’re parents force you to do something you don’t want to do?!?!

Answer #1

it depends. but if it’s not any form of abuse, and you are not yet an adult, then yes, they can force you to do something. sometimes this really sucks, but you just have to go along with it. I hope everything works out :-/

Answer #2

yes and no if its anything that endangers your health, wellbeing or things… like sex, abuse, or something dangerouse that you dont want to do then no. but if its things like making you go to school, eating this food, not going to a party ect then yes

Answer #3

It depends what it is. Say you’re anorexic and they force you to eat. That is health related yet within their rights AND responsibility.

Answer #4

Depends on what it is. If it’s something like having sex, have an abortion, give your baby up, who your dating, stuff like that then no. If it’s like going on a vaction, moving, what school you go to then yes.

Answer #5

I don’t believe anyone can forever anybody else to do ANYTHING. I do what I want.

Cus there is ALWAYS. NO MATTER WHAT. in ANY situation, another way out.

Answer #6

I guess, sometimes they can like trying something to eat or frocing you to go somehwere, but if its going out with someone or something, then no

Answer #7

ya they can! if I don’t do what they force me to do then I will be stuck at home for the whole weekend or for the whole month!!!

but if they want me to do something that will effect my health or effect my feelings and break my heart, then I would refuse and of course I have to give them a good reason why I’m refusing!!

Answer #8

You’re only 14 so yes they can “force” you by the threat of punishment if you don’t do what they say. It’s a foregone conclusion that they can’t force you to do something that is illegal.

I think that in most states you have to be at least 18 before you can refuse to obey them.

Answer #9

okay (I made this ?) but like if you can face the consequences and you don’t care like what can they do nothing?

Answer #10

If you don’t mind doing the time then you can do the crime!

Answer #11

depends if it is like have sex then no. but if it’s like eat something they give you then yes

Answer #12

if it has something to do with my health, then can you refuse to do it?
