How to catch a parakeet?
If I do not clip my parakeet wings and I let it fly around a safe proof room how do I get back to it’s cage or catch afterword
You should put some kind of treat in the cage. You can also whistle and clap at the same time to get its attention. (WARNING)-This may cause your pet very scared of you, You can get a fishing net and try to catch it and release it in a box, then the cage.
when it has landed on something and is perched there, just put your hand over its back, gently enclose it (with your other hand too), and put it back in the cage. make your movements smooth and steady, but be confident and not too slow. if it doesn’t work the first time, wait a bit and try again.
my boyfriend’s finch got lose, and we recaptured him by throwing a towel over him and then gently picking him up and putting him in his cage.
