pap smear help.

I thought this posted, but I guess not.

I was on BC, but my refills ran out. I didn’t have to have a pap smear when I got them, because I told the doctor I wasn’t sexually active.

im going to a different doctor, and I can always lie and say I don’t have sex, but I’d like to be safe- and make sure nothing’s going on.

im only 15- so my mom picks up my med’s and stuff, of course she wont go in the room with me though. but will they tell my mom im having sex if I ask them not to? what if something’s wrong, and need’s to be treated, like I said- she get’s the medicine at the pharmacy. (she also works in the medical field, so she know’s what medicines are for what- she’s not completely oblivious.) and least- will it hurt?

im debating on lying, or making sure im good.

so if you have any imput- I’d really appreciate it.

Tell the doctor what you just asked on this site. the doctor is soposed to keep it confidential anyway, but make sure doc understands you. other than that I would be safe and take the proper responsibility of being sexualy active by having regualr paps!! wear a condom sister!!! be smart if your going to be stupid!!!

Answer #2

It’s illegal for your doctor to mention anything about your appointment to your mom or anyone else for that matter unless its life threatening. Apparently the thing is really cold when it goes in but it doesn’t hurt.
