Overdose of ativan

My husband just got a prescription of ativan he went out drinking im talking heavy probly case or more of beer and took 4 ativan can this cause him to over dose and what do I do if he does

Mixing Ativan with alcohol can be a dangerous combination. Especially in such a large amount of both. These substances are depressants and taking both together can worsen the side effects of Ativan and create additional problems like slowed brain activity leading to reduced heart rate and breathing. If an overdose is suspected call the US national poison hotline at 1-800-222-1222.
