Over breeding

Hi, I just adopted a 4yr. Chichuahua. When we got her the lady said that someone must have dumped her in her yard, however we could hear the yiping of sevral other dogs. Sh also mad the comment that she is all bread out. So my ? Is this. What the he– does that mean??will she never be able to have pups again?we were hoping that after awhile we would let her have 1 litter of pups, but now I don’t know.it is really no big deal, we got her for a pet not to breed her, but I am still woundering..

This is the wrong Interest forum mate… If she said bred out then yes, it is most likely that the Chihuahua is infertile. However, you could always take it to a VET to find out for sure. At the end of the day, like you said, you didn’t keep the dog for the sake of having a litter of puppies. So I guess there’s no need to worry either way really, haha!

Ditto to utopia.

Answer #3

She has probably been used as a breeder dog. Litter after litter, perhaps in a backyard breeder or puppy mill operation. Take her to the vet, have her spayed and enjoy your new pet.
