Generally it goes as follows: I’l use examples

He married Betsy (Doe) Jones on March 14, 1942 and she survives. Other survivors include his son Geroge, daughter Janice, eight granchildren and two great-granchildren. One brother Homer Doe of Las Vegas NV and one sister Sally of Lincoln Nebraska. He was preceded in death by his parents. He served in The U.S. Army during WW II as a medic He was a member of the Williamstown Christian Church, the VFW, and Eagles Lodge. He was a retired Firefighter and EMT. John enjoyed fishing, playing guitar, working on his farm and spending time with friends. Funeral services will be conducted wednesday, april 11, from 1pm until 4pm with Rev. Eli Harper officiating at the Cornerstone Funeral Home in Williamstown. ( This is just an outline for the newspaper, I think you can really say whatever you want) I’m very sorry about the loss of your dad. God Bless.
