My new braces really hurt

when I first got my braces they gave me like a sheet of wax to bite down on to releive the pressure. It seemed to work for me, I did it like for the first week but the wax sheets only lasted me 2 days so I got the wax they gave me and smashed it to make a sheet, worked the same. and if you run out of wax you can just go buy some at any drug store. Also theres like a pain killer for your teeth that you can swish in your mouth like mouth wash… I never used the one they gave me though. Hope I helped!

I got mine today too, “funadvice” is right, it wont go away, I dont like the hurt at first, but everybody that I’ve talked to say that its worth it. just hang in there!

Try taking some Tylenol. If there are any wires poking out or anything rubbing, use some of the wax they gave you.(If you got any.) Try to eat softer foods for the next few days until the pain goes away. Good luck, I know it can be painful. :)

I also got braces I know exactly what you mean all you need 2 do is take some tylenol, you may also mite want to try biting on a plastic spoon, that always helps me, also if there is a wire or if you have a blister anytime just put wax on the bracket(s) that hurt u,also I reccomend when you have a blister to use oragel mouth rinse it really helps!! Not to make this sound harsh but im on my verge of ending braces nad listen, the pain wont go away… I mean if you didnt feel pain then how on earth would you know if your teeth are getting fixeed, right? you can try some oral gel, tylenol.. but it wont completly goo.. sorry !! :( I know it killd me.
