What are your opinions/thoughts on boarding school for the intellectually advanced?

Answer #1

I think it’s ok depending on if there is good reasons. If you’re really smart you’ll do ok in any school and there really isn’t any reason to go to a different school

Answer #2

I honestly don’t really approve of boarding schools. I think that children deserve a normal life with their family and home friends, regardless of how intelligent they are. If they are smart kids then there are TONS of different programs the kids can sign up for, if they want to. But to ship them off to somewhere else? No way. I think it’s wrong.

Answer #3

I agree look into private schools in your area it is a much better option than shipping them off to boarding school

Answer #4

Well, i researched it A LOT, trust me, but it seems to me like a great opportunity to meet new people, gain a new found independence, and receive a better education. It was actually my decision to go to boarding school, i’m just waiting for acceptance/rejection letters to be sent.

Answer #5

I don’t think that it’s a really good idea. Advanced does not mean you have to give up certain things, like being with your family and having basically a normal life. Public schools, and private school have good programs so you can get ahead and so you can get good money for college and all that, there are more options other than boarding schools for those who are advanced in school and their way of thinking.
