What are your opinions on The Hunger Games cast?

I think Peeta is perfect. Jennifer Lawrence as Katniss was horrific, but then I saw the posters and changed my mind. Gale is still not right. I see Gale with Latin features, or Native American. Liam Hemsworth is too light, if that makes sense. But I won’t knock him till I see it.

I never understood all the bashing for the casting of Katniss. I don’t see anything wrong with her. Everyone’s saying she’s ugly, but I think she’s pretty. Sure in the trailer she doesn’t look like your regular Hollywood, fake blond, but she’s still pretty gorgeous in my opinion. Anyways, when it comes down to it, it’s the acting. If she’s good at her part, then great, if she’s horrible, no matter how “pretty” she is, the movie will suck. As for the others ;o I always imagined Gale different. But he doesn’t seem too bad.
