what is your opinion?

brother Roommate* goes away to college, hes 22, im 18…he lives in CT and i live in NY…i really like him, and he seems to like me by how we talk…. how do i pull this off? my brother kinda knows i have a thing for him but he doesnt know how serious it is or how serious i want it to be….. help!

Well, the heart wants what the heart wants … if you both share feelings for each other, then why deny it? The best thing is to be honest and upright with your brother about it and try to pursue a relationship.

If you guys really like each other, it’s definitely a possible thing to work out. Long distance relationships can be really hard, though. If you guys both want this, you will both have to be willing to put a lot of effort in. Talk to him and see how he feels for sure, though, before you do anything else. See if he’s willing to give a relationship with you a try. Perhaps then try and make some communication plans for when you guys are apart (writing, calling, skype, whatever). Always remember that being open and honest is very important in any relationship. Communication is the key. Perhaps throughout that time, maybe plan a visit as well? Definitely be honest about things then, too, to your bother.
