Oopsie!!

So… I took my boyfriend’s (now ex) cell phone while we were fighting and drove off. I then continued on an emotional roller coaster and broke it and threw it out the window while I was driving. Later I got a call saying the phone was his mother’s (he’s still on her family plan) and she had already called the cops so I needed to return the phone. But I don’t have it… how much trouble can I get in? I have a 4 year old and reeeaaallly can’t get in to any trouble!

Answer #1

Do the right thing - buy her a new one - apologize for your behavior.

Answer #2

Offer to pay for the phone, and hopefully she doesn’t press charges - that’s theft.

Having a bad temper gets you in a lot of bad places…you need to learn to control yourself.

Answer #3

Uhm yea, unless you live in a tiny little town, the cops arent going to go looking for a missing phone (usually they have better things to do, but I dont know where you live). However, do the right thing, replace the phone. Oh and consider anger management classes…

Answer #4

You should have thought about the consequences before you broke the phone now you are going to have to replace it with a new one.

Answer #5

I will be honest here. As a mother and adult you should not be having “temper tantrums” I advise you to do the adult thing and purchase a new phone to replace the one you broke. Then you should seek some kind of anger management counsling before your temper gets out of hand.
