What should I do if I offended a guy that I like?

I was just talking to this one guy that I have a crush on, and we were talking about saving up money and stuff. He said that he had, like $700 saved up for College, and I told him that that would probably not get his very far…. I don’t know why he’s offended, but how can I have him forgive me? He deleted me as a friend on Facebook, too.

Apologize next time you see him. I personally don’t think what you said was a big deal at all, but clearly he did. Maybe he’s just frustrated; he’s trying so hard, but still has a long way to go. I would try talking to him and tell him you didn’t mean to offend him. Tell him you’re sorry and, if he’s your age, tell him that he still has a lot of time to save up even more money. Something like that. Just be genuine.

I doubt that was all that was said, because any real guy wouldn’t react the way he did over just that. And if he did he probably isn’t worth your time chasing anyway. Apologize nd wait to see if he adds u back. Just don’t chase him tho

Answer #3

You can try apologizing but if a guy deletes you as a friend because you said a “no-brainer” fact that 700 dollars won’t get him very far at college (that won’t even really cover the books for one semester) then perhaps this isn’t the guy for you. Imagine what else he would get angry about if you had a relationship? You could tell him his shoes are untied and he might burn them lol

Answer #4

dont worrie about it sooner or later he will undersand that he did something stupid and apologies to you even thou if you said something before dont apologies directly try and prove to him that you are sorry but not by saying it but by proving it Cheer up everything will turn out ok ,)

Answer #5

try to apologize and always be yourself

Answer #6

Apologize the next time you get the chance. Though you may not see it, I do believe you were kinda out of line… Money is a very touchy subject, especially in today’s economy. Make sure he knows you did not mean to upset or offend him, and with luck you guys will be good again.

Answer #7

best thing to say sorry but you can just try to be nice when you see him like nothing has happened :)
