How can I obtain clear and healthy skin?

This year for some reason I’ve been having issuses with acne and acne scars/dark spots. Receatly in the past few weeks my skin has really been clearing up & evening out. And i’m happy, but I want to figure out how to keep it this way. My regimen is pretty much this(Morning & Night):

  1. I wash my face twice a day (with St. Ives Naturally Clear Green Tea wash,St Ives Apricot Scrub, and Olay’s Moisture Bar)
  2. I apply Simple’s Facial Toner
  3. Then I let it dry then moisturie with Cetaphil Lotion I also put on a gel (when I remember) perscribed by my doctor on my face before I go to bed. I don’t really take any Vitamins anymore becuase I ran out, and never got anymore. I was thinking about buying Spring Valley”s Nails, Hair, Skin Vitamins. But does anyone have any Vitamins recommendations, foods I can cut out of my diet or food I can apply to my diet? P.S. I’m also trying to grow my hair longer too, so ya’ll can leave tips for that also.

My advice for clear skin is to cleanse your face everyday but it sounds like you’re already doing a good job with that! Make sure to remove all makeup before going to bed and try not to touch your face during the day because the oils and germs on your fingers can cause breakouts. Moisturize to keep your skin nice and soft. Wear a sunscreen as much as you can to protect your skin from sun rays and prevent dark spots. And my top advice is to drink LOTS of water because it cleanses your body and will hydrate your skin! Drinking water is benefit for your body, skin and hair! Also, maintaining a healthy diet such as incorporating healthy foods will make a huge difference in overall skin, hair and body health.

Growing out hair will need a lot of patience. Trim dead ends and try not to use heat on your hair but if you must, make sure to use a heat protectant. This may sound kind of gross but try not to wash/shampoo your hair everyday because washing it everyday will strip off natural oils causing your hair to become dry and dull, so it doesn’t hurt to skip a day or two! Deep conditioning your hair will keep it soft and radiant. I’m trying to grow out my hair too! :) It will take awhile to see results but trimming the ends and keeping it healthy beforehand will be worth it in the end!

Thank You! I’m going shopping on Sunday, so i’ll be sure to pick up some SunScreen and another Bottle to keep water in. I’m wearing Bare Minerals Foundation right now to cover up the dark spots on my face, and it’s so hard becuase I rest my face on my hands alot. So I’ll rub the make up of on my hands. :P Plus I have oliy skin, which doesn’t help. But thanks for the advice, it will be put to use! :D

You may want to try the skin care line from Clarins Australia, particularly the Beauty Flash Balm that you apply in the morning and at night. It freshens up dull skin and keeps your complexion clear too…check it out here

Don’t sleep with your makeup on! Rest, vitamins, exercise, water. Less product is more in my experience.
